Hair Talk Part I: Shampoo for Dry Hair
And here starts the first part of our journey through hair care (believe me, there's still a looooot to come ahah)! I decided to start by the basic of the basics - the shampoo! I bring you my shampoo collection for dry hair! Some of these are already empty, others I passed on to my sis because, now that I dye my hair, I like to use more specific, color-care shampoos!
PHYTO's Phytojoba (That tin bottle with no label there is Phytojoba! It came off with the water :p) "Phytojoba is a soft, buttery and highly moisturizing shampoo. Quickly, your hair will get back its high level of hydration, its shine and its flexibility." True, true and true! I love this shampoo! It's creamy and soft and your hair gets really hydrated!
L'ORÉAL PROFESSIONNEL's Absolut Repair Cellular Another super creamy shampoo that lathers up a bit less than PHYTO's, but leaves your hair super soft and moisturized. As to repairing, I think no shampoo has that kind of effect... But I like it!
KÉRASTASE's Nutritive Bain Satin 2 Another creamy shampoo, the formula is super similar to L'ORÉAL's, lathers up a bit less than usual, but that's always a good thing on my book!
LUSH's Fair Trade Honey* This is the most conventional shampoo! It's the one that lathers up the most and the least creamy one in terms of texture! However, your hair is still left hydrated (but maybe not as hydrated)! The scent was a bit off-putting at first, but you get used to it! And, if you love a honey scent, you'll love this! Your hair will smell like it for a long time!
The only no-no of ALL OF THESE shampoos is the sulfate! That's right... I don't know why these brands insist on including sulfate in shampoos for dry hair if this actually dries the hair! What do I care if there are good ingredients in the product, if there's also sulfate that is the second one on the list!? No, no! I will not buy any more shampoos with sulfate, specially now that I dye my hair! It's bad for colored hair: the color fades more quickly!!
Have you ever tried any of these products? Are you curious?
And what's your favourite shampoo?
*This product was sent to me by the brand for review.. However, my opinion of it is honest and not biased.
